Mobile industry in India is a big mafia. They earn ultra big bucks using dirty lobbying and politics to manipulate licensing and spectrum allottment and pricing it high enough inspite of lousy service to make a deadly killing in earnings. All at common man’s expense. The ability to change provider keeping the number same is very critical for a customer to have choice (like in US) and I always wondered when that will happen in India (if the politics and lobbying allows).
